The Practice File #04 ~ Figure-Ground and Gestalt

As designers, it’s common to spend time focusing on the ‘main’ element. The character of our piece.

But what about the space we leave behind?

While checking on Richard Poulin’s book: The Language of Graphic Design, went back to the principle of Figure/Ground. On that interaction between the element we have at the front and the one we have at the back. Both forming that character.
